City Fire

This independent work depicts a city beginning to be engulfed by flames. I completed this painting at home inspired by the recent Los Angeles fires. These fires had a devastating impact on the communities surrounding the LA area. People lost their homes and entire communities, this moved me to create a painting that can reflect this loss in an abstract way. This painting shows buildings that are in the process of being engulfed by flames and how fire can quickly spread through these cities and effect thousands before anyone has time to react. With climate change becoming more of a reality many locals to the California area, including myself, need to learn to live with these tragedies as they are becoming more and more common.
